My girlfriend and I recently visited the spa to celebrate our one-year anniversary, followed by a light lunch. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The facilities were excellent and pleasantly uncrowded, which made for a very relaxing visit. The lunch was fantastic, and the massage and body exfoliation provided by Brenda were truly exceptional. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

Booked an overnight spa break as a birthday celebration. On arrival check in was smooth and we were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite which was amazing. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and excellent portion sizes. Leo our server was amazing and so attentive, always ensuring we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. We each had a spa experience and my therapist Jo was fantastic. She gave plenty of helpful advice and was extremely knowledgeable. Overall a fantastic night away. The only minor downside was a 430am fire alarm but this was dealt with fantastically by the staff who kept us informed and were handing out foil blankets to keep people warm.

We spent a couple of days meeting up with 10 college mates from 60 years ago in Oxford. The room we had was a deluxe and adequate for our stay. Had everything we would require, hand and shower gel fixed to the wall, obviously you need to upgrade to get individual bottles. The room and bathroom very clean and with addition of coffee/tea making, iron and ironing board and hairdryer. I made my friends’ day when I grumbled to them how short the flex was on the hair dryer, only to be told it was retractable! Maybe a label attached to its bag would help “dumbos “ like me. It gave us all a laugh when I re- enacted drying my hair kneeling on the floor close to the plug!! Mealtimes: We had a bar lunch and booked evening meal on our day of arrival. (Sunday) Both were extremely slow, with both lunch snacks and dinner being delivered to our table spasmodically. Not so bad at lunchtime, but some of us had nearly finished before some had received their main course. We decided to have evening bar snacks, the following evening, as the hotel was extremely busy, and these were very good. The breakfasts were the star of the show, an excellent buffet, plenty of choice. Throughout our stay we found the staff to be efficient and friendly.

I was somewhat apprehensive booking this for my partner's birthday, due to some of the reviews published. I really shouldn't have been worried, as we had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded to a lovely spacious room, had chocolates left on the bed and were also offered complimentary drinks! The extra touches were so thoughtful and made my partner's birthday extra special. We both had massages booked in and I have to say they were so relaxing and added to the whole experience. The spa staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and it was absolutely delicious, the food was excellent and again the staff were amazing. There are a couple of minor negatives (pool needs a bit of attention and some sort of generator sound woke us in the early hours) but the good far outweighs the smallest isuues of bad. The thing that makes this hotel a great place to stay, are the staff, they are all amazing, friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. They deserve high praise indeed.

Great experiance, rooms are really nice and the facilities are really good. Food was also amazing. Had a lovely massage from Brenda. Will be visiting again for sure.

Everything you would expect for an enjoyable short stay. Comfortable room, swimming pool and sauna, plenty of breakfast choices and a good restaurant.

Good hotel, definitely need a car though. Rooms are nice, ours was a little warm, unsure if air-conditioning was available. We were very fortunate and had a free upgrade - a lovely little bonus - big room, clean, good bathroom also clean. Bar and restaurant are both nice - food at both is very good - although drinks prices are a tad high. Restaurant is a bit under staffed at breakfast, if busy getting a clear table can be a challenge. But all staff are really friendly and helpful (both Seth and Emma were brilliant). We also used the spa - the lounge is lovely and the pool and sauna are also both good.

Stayed here a couple nights for a wedding. Nice place and good size room. We ate at the restaurant. Food was very good and we had excellent service from a young man called Leo who was very polite & attentive. I highly recommend the biscoff cheesecake!

Check in was great very friendly and helpful staff. Had a really lovely meal in the restaurant, steak was cooked perfectly and the side salad was delicious. Leo was very attentive and professional, thanks!

We had an amazing stay at the Bellfry!! Because it was a birthday getaway Libby upgraded our room to a big luxurious room with a complementary mini. The room was really nice and spacious. We relaxed in the Spa, having a swim and utilising the steam room and sauna. We had excellent food in the restaurant. The breakfast had a huge selection and was very good. We are planning to visit again. Much gratitude to Libby for being so welcoming and making our stay extra special. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing staff especially the main receptionist Mia. She was an absolute dream!

My partner and I have just eaten at the Oxford Belfry hotel, as part of a Travel zoo deal. Tom, the host was absolutely superb, and 100% accommodated my fusiness about my Rose choice. It's my 60th birthday, and he kindly gifted us a complimentary glass of prosecco each. Nothing was too much trouble for Tom!! Now let me come on to Tom.... What a super, lovely polite waiter. His service and attention to detail were superb. He was an absolute pleasure to be served by. Food was absolutely divine! Hopefully Leo passed my praise onto the chef!! All in all, I can't fault a single thing!!

We got engaged here and it was our first time back as a married couple, also came to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted warmly and directed to our room. Hotel has had a nice makeover since. Our room was lovely, and the minibar was a nice touch. Spa consists of a sauna, steam room and pool. Our massages were done by Brenda and Amy. Would highly recommend the deep tissue massage done by Brenda. She managed to get out all the tension and knots, 50 minutes was not enough!! Amy was very friendly and provided a very relaxing massage, I was close to falling asleep! The dinner service was managed well by the young servers, especially Harry, who was our server for the night. He provided an excellent welcome and was available for all of our requests. The food was delicious, the biscoff cheesecake was divine and I highly recommend it! Breakfast the next morning was nice, it was constantly being restocked so there was enough. Overall, we had a lovely time and glad I chose to spend my birthday here. The Oxford Belfry holds sentimental value for us and we'll definitely be back. Manager Tom deserves a special mention, thank you for welcoming us back and making sure we had a great time!

Nice quiet location. Friendly staff and great rooms. Spa experience was also relaxing and staff were great. Special mention to Harry in the restaurant serving dinner. Made it a very pleasant experience. Lovely food as well, tastes great and did not take long to be served.

Impressive hotel. Huge bedroom & bed which was very comfortable.Free beer, wine, water & pepsi in the fridge. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice but no fish option. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good .10 minutes from Park & Ride to Oxford & also the attractive village of Thames with lots of dining options. 5* prevented by slow, albeit polite service in the restaurant & some areas of room & public rooms needing some TLC. Also the place is bit of a warren where more signage would help. None of this spoilt our 2 night stay, booked through Travelzoo which turned out to be a bargain.

Nice stay and good food and service in their restaurant, Millie did a great job!

​Had a wonderful meal at The Belfry, made even better by our fantastic waitress, Millie. She was polite, fast, and incredibly welcoming. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and served us with a great attitude. Excellent food, but Millie’s top-tier hospitality was the real highlight of our evening. Highly recommend!
